MUSEUM TOURS

A docent-led tour is great way to appreciate and understand the works of art in the Museum. Visitors will be encouraged to use critical thinking in response to original works of art. Our docent educators invite visitors to concentrate on observation skills, through well-focused questions, lively interactive conversation, and encouragement.

Tours are made appropriate for the group's grade, level of ability, and subject of interest. Our Museum tours cater to grades K through 12th grade, universtities, aftercare, daycare, scout troops, art clubs, women's group, and senior groups.

Elementary School

Students work on observation skills through treasure hunts, games, interactive discussion and a hands-on art activity.

Middle School

The group works together to respond to worksheets, answer questions and solve problems presented by the Museum's docents. Also includes a hands-on art activity.

High School

Students apply their cognitive skills and knowledge of the world as they relate to works of art. Also includes an art activity.
